Religious Ceremonies
The same regulations as for a civil ceremony apply to a religious ceremony and permission to marry must be obtained from the civil authorities. The appropriate religious celebrant must also be contacted and the religious regulations followed in accordance to the specific denomination or religion. The registrar will issue a marriage schedule; once satisfied there is no legal impediment to the marriage.
