Southampton, found in the Hampshire County, is an intriguing part of the UK and a lovely location to host an unforgettable British wedding. Despite, Southampton’s up to date facilities, it has hung on to its medieval character and you won’t have to explore very far afield to come across its astonishing past. A number of ancient buildings survived WWII, including an entire section of the ancient walls and the impressive gates, most notably Bargate. The city has always had close connections with the sea; its world class harbour has a fascinating history dating back to Roman times with numerous museums bringing the tales of the past to life. The Maritime Museum contains memorabilia from the fated Titanic which set sail from here in 1912.
