This intriguing region is England’s largest and is the ideal area for your perfect wedding. Come and see for yourself the romantic landscapes, attractive villages, and sweeping coastline.

Starting off in North Yorkshire make sure you take plenty of time to do some sight seeing in the glorious city of York with its numerous attractions lying within the cities walls including York Minster. The huge Gothic Cathedral is renowned for its large collection of medieval stained glass windows – more than a hundred of them! The famous town of Harrogate is thought to be one of England’s most attractive with many original spa buildings elegantly still in place. The Royal Pump Room and the Royal Baths Assembly Rooms are worth seeing. The seductive coastline is complete with traditional seaside towns such as Scarborough, Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay. Secluded beaches and hidden bays, your romantic imagination will run wild as you pass secret smuggler’s coves!

Two National Parks await you in North Yorkshire. Discover the beautiful Yorkshire Dales and the magical world hidden beneath the sloping hills where you will find the largest collection of caves in Britain along with underground rivers and waterfalls. The Dales also form the breathtaking location for the film Calendar Girls. While the rugged scenery of the North York Moors makes a great place to unwind and take in nature at its best with lush twisting valleys and scattered ancient boulders.

As you continue into West Yorkshire, you will be welcomed by the cosmopolitan city of Leeds. One of the UK’s best shopping destinations and a shopaholic’s dream with department stores, designer names, high street favourites and boutiques galore. There are a wide variety of cafes and restaurants where to can grab a light lunch while you’re out enjoying some retail therapy. Leeds is superb for entertainment and nightlife and has gained a reputation for being a favourite among clubbing destinations. Enjoy cocktails and Champaign in chic waterfront bars, dance the night away in one of many trendy clubs, visit Opera North for the very best in ballet, west-end musicals and performing arts or enjoy the excitement of an outdoor concert where you will come across live performances from big named stars. What ever your taste or mood, Leeds has something to suit.

Stretching into parts of South Yorkshire is the counties third National Park – The Peak District. Sweeping valleys, moors and peaks topped with distinctive rock formations where you can enjoy a leisurely stroll and relax while all your cares simply float away, with the city of Sheffield just a stones throw away. Sheffield is not only the setting for the Full Monty but also a world class centre for sports with an array of impressive international venues ranging from ice-skating and dry skiing facilities to indoor climbing centres.

Finishing off in East Yorkshire where the main city Kingston upon Hull is a must to visit. Hull is near the East coast set on the Northern banks of the Humber Estuary with the Deep being its most recent attraction. This huge aquarium over looking the Humber River is filled with large sharks, swordfish, giant rays and other smaller fish, drawing large numbers of visitors. Then there is the spectacular Humber Bridge, one of the world’s longest single span suspension bridges and a point of much interest.
